Covid-19 Virus Update
At South Florida Food Allergy Center our number one priority has always been the health and safety of our patients. Often in times of uncertainty, there can be a wealth of misinformation spread, especially in today’s digital age. As a leading healthcare provider in our community, we wanted to reach out to all of our patients regarding the COVID-19 virus, and to let you know the steps we are taking to alleviate any potential concerns.
At our office we are committed to doing everything we can to maintain a safe and comfortable experience when you visit our office. Therefore, we’d like to inform you of the clinical infection control guidelines and universal precautions we’ve always taken in our office. Each staff member maintains rigorous personal hygiene standards. We use hospital-grade disinfectants across the entire office, with extensive room cleaning after each patient to ensure a safe and clean environment. These processes have always been of utmost importance in our office and will continue to be the standards we uphold for our community.
For our patients, we recommend that you wash your hands frequently, avoid close contact with people who are sick, and stay home if you aren’t feeling well. Our staff has always been instructed to follow the same guidelines.
What We are Doing Differently:
We have implemented several new policies and procedures, which follow recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are in constant communication with our employees to reinforce our sanitation safety procedures in both patient and employee areas. We are sanitizing high-traffic public areas at an increased frequency.
Public touch points, such as door handles, check-in stations and knobs are cleaned multiple times daily. Surfaces such as front desk, coffee station counters and reception tables are wiped regularly. We will be limiting office hours and therefore limiting exposure to the office.
In addition to our disinfection and clinical cleanliness, we are also committed to disinfecting anything regularly affected by the human touch. Door handles, light switches, seating areas, trash cans, coffee makers, credit card processors, telephones and every commonly touched surface will be disinfected throughout the day.
Please rest assured that we are following local and national updates daily and will continue to maintain the highest level of safety and patient care that you have come to expect. If you have any questions regarding your future appointments, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Again, thank you for being a valued South Florida Food Allergy Center patient. We appreciate your continued trust and confidence. Together we can overcome these challenging circumstances and continue your path to greater health! We look forward to taking care of you at your next scheduled appointment.
